Sunday Bible Study at 9 AM
Sunday Worship Service at 10 AM
The God-given vision for our church is to be a people learning to love God, one another, and self.
Luke is my church family. They have loved me unconditionally and taught me more about my spiritual walk. This is where I get to experience grace and servanthood, and most of all...LOVE.
We are a missional church that seeks to love our neighbor through our hearts and our hands in our community and beyond.
An intentional goal at Luke 10:27 is for us all to seize every opportunity to learn from our children and pray for our children. Spiritual formation of children is a process of God being with children and children being with God so that children can become more like Jesus. Children meet Sundays at 9 AM and Wednesdays at 6 PM with Leslie Akin upstairs above the foyer in the four rooms that make up My Father's House.
Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold,I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 1:6-8 ESV)Sunday School 6th to 12th graders meets at 9 AM with Mike DiMaria.
Small groups meet on Sunday at 9 AM for Bible Study. Our women's group joins together to study God's word in each of our lives and is led by Tara Chapman. Lonnie Shupe leads adults looking to enrich their relationship with God and others. And Durwin Walker leads and in-depth look at the Bibe, book by book. On Wednesday evenings, we have prayer and fellowship gatherings.
On Sunday at 10 AM, we join to worship God with all of our heart, mind, soul and spirit. We desire Spirit-filled worship in a style that is intimate, dynamic, timeless, and life-changing. We bow before the Lord with upbeat contemporary worship songs, intimate heart-stirring songs of adoration, and time-honored hymns of praise. Join our Musical Ministry no matter your musical background.
Through our community outreach efforts, we teach how to love as Jesus loves. The Center for Learning to Love offers educational classes in three areas: Roots of Faith (scripture and tradition), Roots of Hope (missional church), and Roots of Love (relationships). And Psalm 37:3 seeks to uplift our community through family building, racial diversity, stewardship of the land, and loving Godly council.
Heart to Honduras is a holistic ministry, centered in Christ, with two purposes: to make discpiples who will transform their world, and to serve the needy by fostering thriving communities. And Operation Christmas Child is a Samaritan's Purse project touching the lives of millions of hurting children in crisis areas worldwide by distributing gift-filled shoe boxes and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
"The first service after the flood of 2016 I felt compelled to go to the gym that the church was holding their service in. The pastor was in mismatched flip flops and led the worship between the gym garbage cans. It was organically holy! I've been here since."
