HOLY HAPPENINGS (#1)
I saw holy happen today. At an ordinary table, in an ordinary coffee shop, 5 ordinary people prayed to an extraordinary God and holy happened.
Seated with Robert Poole, a city councilman for Denham Springs; Kayla Smiley, the newly appointed Director of the Denham Springs Long Term Recovery Committee; and four other pastors sat, heaven touched earth.
After we prayed, God stories just flowed about the notorious flood weekend. People wounded and traumatized by the flood waters were treated in a shelter by a doctor driving to Disney World with his family. Food miraculously appeared at two different sites for 250 people and for 750 people. A cook team from Amite and the staff of a Chinese restaurant found themselves among the evacuees equipped for the task at hand.We could have gone on for hours.
But, this is what moved me most. The city councilman leading our recovery team for Denham Springs and the Director of the team shared and spoke as much about God as they did their fervent desire to acquire funds and assistance for the people of Denham. We are blessed! Expect extraordinary to happen to this city. Our leaders love you and me. And our leaders love God.
Thank you, Lord God, for leaders who let You lead. We adore You, O Christ, now and forever. Amen.

in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
