The young adults (20’s and 30’s) group at Luke is led by Kevin and Heather Acord. They meet every Sunday evening at 6:30 at Kevin and Heather’s home where they share dinner together. After dinner, the group usually begins with a discussion from the previous week’s news headlines and how it pertains to our community. Then, the group spends time each week walking together through study and devotionals. The young adults also read and discuss books together and plan community service projects to do together.

Heather has a passion for the people of God to learn and grow together as one Body of Christ. Heather has attended Luke 10:27 since its inception in 2000. She graduated from LSU in 2007 and accepted a full time position with LSU upon graduation. Heather and Kevin met in 2007 while they were both serving in the children’s ministry at Luke 10:27. In the fall of 2010 Heather married the Tennessee native with a passion for social justice and teaching. Kevin has training in ministry and leads and serves with all his heart. He is employed by FedEx where every day he gets to be a light to a hurting world. The couple resides in Denham Springs with their two boys Jackson, 10, and Cooper,9.
