We are a Christian church serving Denham Springs and Greater Baton Rouge. Luke 10:27 is a small, community-oriented, missional church focused on local ministries and missions that support our community.

Luke 10:27 is a church you can call home. We are an ecumenical Christian church serving Greater Baton Rouge and Denham Springs. We provide a bridge between Protestant denominations and the Roman Catholic faith, embracing the strengths of each and seeking to find common ground.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
~ Luke 10:27
Everyone is welcome at Luke!
Luke 10:27 is a Missional Church
As a missional church, Luke is focused on more than Sunday worship services and our specific church family. We serve our greater community, those outside of the walls of Luke itself.
Over the years, we have started a number of local missions and we support several missions with outreach further afield.
What is our purpose?
We are a people learning to love God, one another, and self. We seek to love as Jesus loves and to live into the six streams of the Christian faith as stated in “The Six Streams.”

Our Christian Church’s Common Ground – The Apostles’ Creed
The Apostles’ Creed, given to the Christian faith by the apostles and the early church, is the common ground between denominations. This is the doctrine that unites Luke 10:27 with one another and other churches. It holds us together.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
The Apostles’ Creed
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic (i.e. universal) church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
