The Young Artists’ Academy finds qualified experts to teach the arts to kids from underserved areas in Greater Baton Rouge and Denham Springs. Our kids take classes in the arts and even put on a big gala at the end of the year.

The Young Artists’ Academy (YAA) is a community non-profit organization where multicultural children from underserved areas of the parish receive free classes in the arts. On Saturdays, throughout the school year, kids from 5-18 participate classes in the arts: dance, voice, guitar, drums, piano, art and French. They also have a number of performance opportunities. The children also get to sing with the Denham Springs Gospel Choir at their gala!
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.”
~ Psalm 37:3

Danielle McCants is the Director of the Young Artists’ Academy. She is incredibly caring and absolutely loves children.
Danielle has great organization skills and her careful planning means that YAA is the most fun thing to do on a Saturday morning!
