at our clumsy attempts
to walk the path You have prepared for us.

You startle us with the unexpected.
With a love that makes no sense.
Never earned. Always present.
A holy mystery.

A scripture is read. A walk is taken.
Suddenly. Without warning.
Your love appears.
So big. So real.
Heart pounds. Tears fall.
Holy is happening.
Intimate joy explodes.
