We welcome everyone! We are a loving group of people with all sorts of backgrounds. There is much more to Luke 10:27 than our worship services on Sundays, but Sunday is great place to start. Come and join us!
What do Sundays look like?
What time should I arrive?
The service will begin at 10am. Lots of people come early though to say hello to one another. If you would like to participate in our Sunday school offerings or Bible study, they begin at 9am.
What services are like?p>One of the leaders of Luke 10:27 will get things going with updates about future events or what we have all been up to during the week. Our worship team leads us in songs of praise. You can sing along reading the lyrics that are projected onto our screen. Stand up or sit down, even dance if you like. Leslie, our founding pastor, will bless the children of Luke. Elders then bring the Word of God through a sermon, which generally lasts 20 minutes. After the sermon, we celebrate Holy Communion followed by a Benediction as we follow the light of Christ out into the world.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. There is no dress code. No need to wear your “Sunday best”. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
Can I bring my children?<
Absolutely. Children are a huge part of Luke 10:27 and are always welcome. We have Sunday school for children and youth. Both start at 9am. During the service, you can use our cry room or our nursery.
Will I be expected to do anything or give any money?
You won’t be embarrassed or bored or asked for money. We do take offerings each Sunday, but they are intended for people committed to the Luke family, not visitors. You will be warmly welcomed and encouraged in your spiritual walk with God. And we hope you will want to come again!
Will I feel out of place?
Heavens no. We are a diverse group and we are proud of our diversity. There are people from all walks of life, various ethnic and racial backgrounds, and even different countries at Luke, and each has their own story. We make a huge effort to be gracious and kind to everyone. You are so welcome to join us!
Can I leave halfway through the service?
You can leave at any time.
If you have any other questions about Luke or what to expect when you visit, please contact us. We hope to see you soon!
